Leaving the South Coast of NSW on June 21, 2022, Michael rode a postie bike anticlockwise around Australia to raise much-needed funds for Soldier On, a registered charity which helps Defence Personnel and Veterans who suffer trauma from their service. It took Michael just six weeks and four days to travel 14,500 kms around the mainland and nineteen days to complete Central Australia, making a total of 21,000 kilometres travelled on his trusty postie bike. As of June 2023, $56,000 has been raised and leaving July 1, 2023, Michael will ride around Australia on a pushbike to raise more funds.
